Summer time is my favourite time of year to be in my back yard.
So it is kind of frustrating that my current work schedule and the lousy weather have prevented me from going outside with my camera. Today was a cool, rainy morning and, the golf course being otherwise occupied with the self flagellation of our club championship tournament (a festivity which I do not indulge in, as a rule) I took the opportunity to go outside with my 60mm macro lens and take some macro photos of my garden after the rain had stopped. This tiger lily is one of my favourite shots of the day. I really like how the rain drop is acting like a small lens and revealing the portion of the lily above the close up. Optics can be cool!
